Why I Created Still Waters
Still Waters was hand-drawn with one simple purpose: to create a moment of ease.
I wanted to create a coloring book that both adults and children could enjoy—a reason to step away from the digital world, put their hands to paper, and simply exist for a while. No pressure. No noise. No need to accomplish anything. Just a calm moment to create, be present, and breathe.
Still Waters is also deeply personal to me.
God called me to create, and when I ignored that calling, I felt it in my spirit. Verse & Vision, Still Waters, and the coloring books that follow are a reflection of my decision to listen—to use what God has placed in my hands rather than leave it untouched.
Matthew 25:14–30 has become part of the foundation behind that commitment. I believe the gifts we are given are meant to be used faithfully. For me, creating is more than something I enjoy doing; it is something I feel responsible for stewarding well.
Verse & Vision is my act of obedience to that calling. My hope is that what I create gives someone else a few quiet moments of peace, creativity, and room to simply be.
